Lincoln County Schools Partners with Level Data to Improve Student Learning and Resource Allocation
Lincolnton, NC — Lincoln County School District, a district of 23 schools serving nearly 11,000 students, announces a strategic partnership with Return on Instruction (ROI) by Level Data, the leading education return on investment tool provider. With this partnership, Lincoln County School District plans to monitor taxpayer dollars and ensure that every resource is strategically allocated to maximize student learning outcomes.
Adopting Level Data’s ROI is part of the district’s commitment to financial transparency and improved student achievement. Associate Superintendent Heath Belcher explained, “We wanted to make our dollars go further and have the biggest impact on our goals for student learning and learning outcomes across the district.”
Additionally, the partnership is part of the district’s Advanced Teacher Roles grant program and aims to help teachers maximize the instructional resources available in the classroom.
ROI’s suite of applications captures, tracks, and manages instructional resources and allocates dollars for administrators and teachers. The platform analyzes the impact of these resources and creates reports to guide stakeholders in maximizing student outcomes around what works best for students. These insights help administrators eliminate ineffective spending and double down on things that matter most for student success.
Previously, the district relied on qualitative feedback from teachers, students, and users but lacked a quantifiable process to measure the effectiveness of programs and spending. “We didn’t have a process to do that. We had what we thought or qualitative feedback that we may have received from teachers, students, or some of our users but not a way to quantify that,” Belcher said.
The district initially attempted to manage the process by hand, but it proved challenging. “We tried to do it manually, but without a tool, the process was time-consuming and very complex,” Belcher added. By integrating ROI into its operations, the district aims to eliminate these inefficiencies and adopt a data-driven approach. “We look forward to Level Data’s ROI helping us accomplish our goal of making more data-driven decisions and meeting the objective of simplifying the process of tracking our resources,” he concluded.
Committed to providing a high-quality, innovative educational program that fosters responsible, contributing citizens and lifelong learners, Belcher highlighted, “Having the ability to view the data down to a school and classroom level will really help my team get a better handle on the resource decisions and how those impact student achievement.” This focus on actionable insights reinforces the district’s mission to empower students and enhance educational outcomes.
